MAKES 2 SERVINGS / PREPARE 5 MINS / COOK 15 MINS
Inspired by BÉABA Rutabaga & Beef With Tomato Sauce recipe in ‘Your Baby’s First Food Cookbook'(P 114), Nichola Ludlam-Raine makes this deliciously healthy Parsnip & Turkey with Tomato Sauce Weaning dish.
Suitable from 7 – 8 months of age, this recipe is packed with protein, slow release energy, healthy fats as well as vitamin C and iron.
For a slightly chunkier version, which would be suitable for an older baby, simply remove some of the cooking water before blending.
And if you’ve got any of the recipe left over simple pop it into a BÉABA Glass Storage Jar and into the fridge for the next day!
Ingredients for 2 Portions
2 parsnips
2 small potatoes
60g of turkey mince/beef
2tbsp tomato sauce or passata
2 tsp olive oil
Instructions
To make this recipe all you’ll need to do is peel the parsnips and potatoes, chop them up into little pieces and pop them into the steamer basket along with the beef and tomato sauce. Then simply fill the steamer reservoir to level 3 and press cook for 15 minutes.
When cooked, put the contents of the steamer basket into the blender and blend to a smooth puree with the olive oil.
